Undergraduate admissions for international students

As an international student, you can apply for admission as either a freshman or as a transfer student.

Freshman applicants

You can apply to UdeA as a first-time freshman if you have completed the equivalent of Colombian secondary education or if you are currently attending the last year of secondary school.

Transfer applicants

To be eligible for transfer admission you must have taken at least two (2) semesters of college level coursework in an institution recognized by your home country’s department or ministry of education.

Important notes: As an international student, you will need a passport and temporary (TP-3) visa as well as a formal letter of admission.

All students admitted as transfers must complete at least 40% of the coursework to earn a degree from UdeA.
