The Technology in Pharmacy Regency Research Group (TRF) is committed to making scientific contributions to the assistance and administrative management of low-complexity pharmaceutical services, pharmaceutical product management, and the development of non-sterile extemporaneous preparations. Additionally, it promotes the adequate use of medicinal plants and alternative therapies.

Notable Projects

  • Practices, beliefs, and knowledge on the final disposition of non-consumed medicines by people attending Universidad de Antioquia’s Information and Documentation Center of Medications and Food (Centro de Información y Documentación de Medicamentos y Alimentos) and the University IPS (IPS Universitaria).
  • Design and development of a supporting software for the distribution of single-dose medicines in a geriatric assistance center in Medellin.
  • Assessment of knowledge on hormone-based contraceptives use in students from the Pharmaceutical Chemistry undergraduate program and the Pharmacy Regency technological program offered at Universidad de Antioquia.
